Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes (about 800g)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (about 100g)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (about 50g)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (about 25g)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- Oil for frying
Kitchen Tools Needed:
- Pot
- Mixing bowl
- Frying pan
- Slotted spoon
- Paper towels
Instructions:
- Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- Peel the potatoes and mash them in a large bowl.
- Add the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the mashed potatoes. Mix well.
- Form the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Dip each potato ball into the egg, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the potato balls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
